General School Information

GOAL Digital Academy is an Ohio public charter school funded entirely by state per-pupil allocations and federal grant funds. Students in the Academy receive all their curriculum over the Internet and interact with their teachers and classmates via email, instant messaging, bulletin boards, and occasional personal interactions.

GOAL primarily serves students from Mount Gilead and Morrow County, but can accept students from anywhere in the state of Ohio.

• Teachers: Laura Chervenak is offering Professional Development classes this winter: Podcasting in Education and Web 2.0 - Teaching in a Flat World.
• In the event of weather conditions that make road travel dangerous, be sure to call ahead before coming into the lab. In general, if the local schools are closed or delayed, the area lab will also be closed or delayed. The Mansfield lab follows Mansfield City Schools' closings, the Edison lab follows Mount Gilead Schools' closings, and the Galion lab follows the Galion City Schools' closings.
