General School Information

GOAL Digital Academy (Goal) is a public online charter school, serving students throughout the State of Ohio in grades 3-12, with a curriculum written to Ohio Academic Content Standards. GOAL opened its doors in Edison, Ohio, within the 2002-2003 school year. GOAL has grown to five physical locations since then: Mansfield, Edison, Galion, Delaware and Marion.

In addition to standardized curriculum, GOAL offers credit flexibility, drop-out prevention and credit recovery programs to its high school students. GOAL provides educational opportunities for students up to 21 years of age, and up to 23 years of age when the student is on an Individual Educational Program. An adaptive curriculum in an actual on-site classroom is available for qualifying high school students.

GOAL also has mutual services with many high schools/career centers and JOG programs in Ohio.

Parents who are interested in enrolling a child in GOAL Digital Academy should complete an application to begin that process.
When we receive the application, we will request school records from the student's current school, including their transcript, test scores, most recent grade card, and any special needs documentation. Although we are requesting records, please note that no student is officially enrolled in GOAL until they have attended an orientation. You may withdraw your child from his or her previous school immediately after orientation.
We will contact you to schedule an orientation as soon as possible after receiving your application. You will need to bring the following to orientation:
Copy of birth certificate (not a hospital's or mother's certificate)
Copy of Social Security Card
Proof of Ohio Residency (a copy of a utility bill, rental agreement, etc. that includes the home address is acceptable)
Copy of immunization records or waiver.
Copy of custody or divorce papers.
If you do not bring these items with you to your orientation, the appointment will be re-scheduled until you can provide the documentation.
If you can also bring copies of the school records at the time of orientation, it will assist in enrolling your child in the proper classes.
