Mr. Mike Galleher - 8th Grade Teacher
Hi, my name is Mike Galleher. I live on a small farm near Mt. Gilead where I have lived most of my life. I graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Agricultural Education when Woody Hayes was the football coach. I have taught Vocational Agriculture at the high school level, first grade, middle school health and PE, and middle school science. One of the most interesting jobs that I have ever had was pumping gas from 11 pm - 6 am at the 95-71 interchange. You meet some very interesting people at that time of night.
I also coach cross-country and have coached basketball and track. I recently received my track official's license to start and work at track meets. I also raise sheep and spend the summer showing them at county and state fairs.
My wife also has retired from teaching school. She taught Kindergarten at Mt. Gilead. I have twin daughters who recently graduated from the University of Findlay. One of them is in Minnesota on an internship at an outdoor education school and the other is in graduate school finishing her school work to become a physical therapist.
I will be teaching 8th grade for GOAL Digital Academy this year. I want
to encourage each student to do your best this school year. I will help you
in
whatever
way that I can to be successful in your courses. My email address is: mgalleher@www.goaldigital.org
