Mrs. Shelly Layman - Grades 3-4 Teacher

Hello! My name is Shelly Layman. I'm the elementary teacher (3-5) here at GOAL Digital Academy. I'm very excited to begin my first year with you!

I moved to Lexington three years ago from Akron, Ohio with my family. My husband Dave, my daughter Marissa (4 years old) and I have adjusted real well to this area and are enjoying discovering all that it has to offer.

Originally, I'm from Dayton, Ohio were I received my teaching degree at the University of Dayton. In Akron I taught third grade for ten years.

When I'm not taking care of my daughter, I love to spend time reading, especially the wide variety of children's literature!

I'm looking forward to working with you. I hope we can work together to make this year a rewarding and fun experience.
