GRADS Program - What is GRADS?
GRADS is a Family and Consumer Sciences instructional
and intervention program for pregnant and parenting teens. The
mission is to promote personal growth, educational competence, and
economic self-sufficiency.
GRADS teachers will meet with you weekly to personalize
the curriculum to your individual needs.
We will teach you skills in:
- Prenatal Care and Nutrition
- Labor and Delivery
- Newborn Care
- Child Safety
- Positive Parenting Skills
- Healthy Child Development Skills
- Positive Interpersonal Relationships
- Goal Setting: Personal and Career
GRADS teachers will help you receive services from
community agencies that will benefit you and your child.
You will be invited to participate in GRADS Seminar Days,
Field Trips, Summer Picnic and Recognition Night with other teenage
parents.
There is no charge for participating in the GRADS
program.
