GOAL Digital Academy Delaware Learning Lab will remain at current Location!

GOAL Digital Academy is proud to announce that the Delaware Learning Lab will remain at its current home at 248 North Washington Street. While GOAL had previously explored relocation options due to the building being placed at auction by Delaware City Schools, GOAL is excited to share that it will continue operations at this historic site thanks to the support of the building’s new owners, Jim and Judi Hill.

Jim and Judi Hill, longtime residents of the Northwest Neighborhood, have officially purchased the historic school building located in the heart of the community. The Hills, who have lived in the neighborhood since 1973, are deeply committed to preserving the integrity and purpose of the beloved space.

Mr. Hill, owner of Hill Engineering based in Delaware, shared that his motivation for acquiring the property was personal and heartfelt. “Some of my best memories are of watching my kids, and many of their friends, playing soccer and football in the green space surrounding the school,” said Mr. Hill. “We wanted to ensure that this building continues to serve the community and remains a place where families gather, learn, and grow.” The Hills’ decision to purchase the building was driven by a strong desire to maintain its current role within the neighborhood, particularly its function as a school. They hope that the building remains a cornerstone of community life for generations to come.

GOAL Digital Academy’s leadership shares in this vision and is thrilled to continue providing a student-focused, flexible educational experience from this historic location.

“We’re not just staying, we’re growing,” said Tish Jenkins, Superintendent of GOAL Digital Academy. “This building has been a vital part of our school community, and with the support of Mr. and Mrs. Hill, we’re excited to improve the space and continue serving our students with even greater impact.”
