GOAL DIGITAL ACADEMY
What is Online Education?
GOAL students enjoy a lot of freedom to design the school approach they need to be successful. GOAL delivers content online, so students have choices in how their day looks. They can choose to attend school anytime on any day of the week. While this freedom is often very appealing to potential GOAL students, it comes with accountability.
Students must attend 26 hours and 15 minutes per week of classes, so we recommend they schedule school for five hours and 15 minutes per day for five days each week. The content is delivered through Canvas, which is a learning management platform. Students receive a computer from GOAL and can log in and access their classes from any location with wifi access. This can be handy for students who are traveling or working and need flexibility to attend class before or after work or while they are on the road.
IT’S YOUR STORY
MEET YOUR
GOALS
Some students need help staying on track, so GOAL also has lab locations where students can physically attend to receive tutoring and support. Each lab is staffed with tutors, intervention specialists and teachers who are happy to work one on one or in small groups with students. Feeling a part of a community is important, and many times students at online schools feel isolated. GOAL hosts clubs and activities at each lab, so students can meet friends and feel like part of our GOAL family. We host events, breakfasts, field trips, community events and other opportunities for students to get together.
