Welcome Back 2026-2027

GOAL Digital Academy Families and Students,

Welcome to the start of the 2026–2027 school year! I hope all of our students had an incredible first day of school on Tuesday, August 18, 2026. If you missed out on day one, don't worry, you can jump online  and start fresh!

Over the summer, our dedicated team worked tirelessly to prepare an amazing year for you. GOAL staff engaged in high-impact professional development to ensure we are equipped to support each and every student so you feel Known, Valued, and Successful:

• Canvas & Course Design: Our staff collaborated with a GOAL-led Instructional Design Team on course development in Canvas, and five of our educators went above and beyond to earn their official Canvas Certified Educator credentials.

• Specialized Educator Programs: Two staff members attended the prestigious Summer at SCAD Educator Program, while others gained valuable insights at InstructureCon.

• Special Education & Literacy: Many team members completed Special Education Modules provided by the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce, as well as specialized literacy training.

  
  

This year, GOAL Digital Academy is making a district-wide commitment to boosting literacy skills:

• School-Wide Novel Study: We have provided all students and families with a copy of The Lemonade War. Each week will feature engaging activities connected to the novel.

• Literacy Instruction: All GOAL staff members are receiving training in Literacy including a focus on Phonics for Reading, meaning anyone on our team is ready to assist you and your family whenever you need support.

The GOAL staff are so proud of each and every one of you! All GOAL Learning Labs will be hosting special engagement events throughout September and October, so be sure to keep an eye on your Canvas homepage for updates.
