Summer Enrichment

GOAL will be offering summer school AND extended learning opportunities this summer from June 13th, 2022 - to July 20th, 2022. 

Please review the offerings and details below. Use the form under each section to sign up your student!


iReady Summer Enrichment (Grades 1-8): June 13th-July 20th: 

This option is being offered to students in 1st-8th grade.  This will be an extension of the iReady course taken during the school year.  iReady is an individualized reading and math course that provides every student with enrichment and intervention in their identified areas of strengths and weaknesses.  This course will track each student’s instructional time and learning path.  Students will have the opportunity to earn prizes for lessons passed throughout the course.

Credit Recovery Summer School (High School): June 13th-July 20th:

The intention of this option is to make up for any credit deficiency a student may have in grades 8-12. We will offer online courses in English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and a few electives including Personal Finance, Health, Physical Education, and Careers. Make sure you contact your School Counselor to sign up. If you do not know who your counselor is, please click here to find their contact info!

Book Clubs: June 13th-July 13th: 

Book clubs are being offered to all GOAL students. Each grade level will have specific books that will match grade-level reading abilities and student interests. All students who participate in a book club will be supplied with books and journaling supplies at no cost. The students will read assigned sections of the book and meet virtually once a week with the book club teacher and students to have group discussions and make connections to the text. The book club books  & schedule are listed below:


Start Date: June 13th

Grade 1-2: Books: Dinosaurs Before Dark & The Knights at Dawn - Mondays at 10 am

Grade 3-4: Books: My Father’s Dragon & Elmer and the Dragon - Mondays at 11 am

Grade 5-6: Books: The Greenglass House & Ghost of Greenglass House - Mondays at 10 am


Start Date: June 16th

Grades 7-8: Books: Hey, Kiddo & Lost in the Sun - Thursdays at 12 pm

High School Books: Anthem & Dragon Hoops - Thursday’s at 1 pm

Art Enrichment Activities (at the Mansfield Art Center):

Art Enrichment Activities are open to GOAL students who attend any GOAL Lab on a first come first serve basis with 10 spots available. Families are responsible for their own transportation. Classes include:


Ceramics: Learn slab pottery techniques and create your own piece to be fired in a kiln!

Group A: 2nd-6th Grade: June 7th, 10 am-12 pm | Group B: 7th-12th Grade: June 8th, 10 am-12 pm


Mosaics: Learn the ancient art of mosaic using pieces of tile and glass set in plaster or cement to create a unique piece of art!

Group A: 2nd-6th Grade: June 8th, 4 pm-6 pm | Group B: 7th-12th Grade: June 7th, 4 pm-6 pm


Art Enrichment Activity (at the Mansfield Lab):

Chihuly Glass: Explore the works of this famous glass master, and create a Chihuly Facsimile Hanging Lamp

Group A: 2nd-6th Grade: June 9th 10am-12pm | Group B: 7th-12th Grade: June 9th 1pm-3pm

Theater Workshop (at your home Lab) Grades 7-12:

Join the fun this summer with Mr. Guins’ first annual Summer Theater Workshop! GOAL students in grades 7-12th are welcome to participate in exciting and diversified theater games and activities! Sessions will last from 12-4 pm at your home lab.


Activities Include: “One Word at a Time Story”, “Guess the Character”, “Park Bench”,  “Questions Only”, “Role Playing”, “Mirror Mirror” and many more.
