GOAL Earns Strong Ratings on 2024-2025 Ohio State Report Card

GOAL Digital Academy is proud to announce that it has earned strong marks on the 2024-2025 Ohio State Report Card, underscoring the district’s commitment to academic achievement, student growth, and graduation success. The Ohio Department of Education’s report card evaluates schools across four key components: Achievement, Progress, Gap Closing, and Graduation Rate. GOAL Digital Academy met or exceeded standards in every category. 

As a statewide online community school, GOAL receives a modified version of the state report card that differs from traditional district evaluations. This version is specifically designed to account for the school’s unique structure, focusing on measures such as student growth, graduation outcomes, and subgroup performance. 

Report Card Highlights: 

Achievement: GOAL Meets Standards 

This component represents the number of students meeting state criteria on required graduation assessments. 

Progress: GOAL Meets Standards 

This component reflects student academic growth throughout the school year. 

Gap Closing: GOAL Meets Standards 

This component measures how well schools are meeting performance expectations for all student groups across English Language Arts, Math, Graduation, and English language proficiency. 

Graduation: GOAL Exceeds Standards 

This component measures graduation rates to state standards across multiple timelines. 

GOAL Digital Academy earned exceptional marks for ensuring students complete high school, with graduation rates surpassing state benchmarks across multiple timelines, and has received Exceeds Standards ratings in years 4,5,6,7,8, and combined Graduation Rate measures. This equates to a 7% graduation rate increase. 

Superintendent Tish Jenkins said, “The report card results reaffirm that GOAL is delivering on its mission. Our dedicated staff have worked tirelessly to expand opportunities, strengthen programs, and elevate student success. We are proud to see our students growing, achieving, and graduating at rates that surpass expectations. This accomplishment is the result of a true community effort, teachers, families, and staff working hand in hand, and we are honored to celebrate this success together!”

We are proud of the progress reflected in this year’s report card, but more importantly, we see it as a foundation for continued growth. Our students inspire us daily, and we will keep building on this momentum to ensure every learner has the opportunity to succeed!
